Cafe on Broadway

RateMyEspresso Rating: SHITTY

Thoughts: This is a very typical NYC bodega/deli and you don’t really expect such places to deliver quality shots of espresso. However, in the spirit of RateMyEspresso, it is always worth a trying a new place because you never know where you might find a gem. Unfortunately, Cafe on Broadway does not deliver anything close to a gem. While it is somehow better than Joe the Art of Coffee (which is a couple of blocks away), it still deserves the label of “shitty espresso” if only because it is possible to finish this without spitting it out — but just barely. Shitty espresso.

The rest of the food and smoothies looked good enough and I think much of their menu may be worthy of your business; but by all means, avoid the espresso at Cafe on Broadway.
